Substitute Caregiver Program

If  you can say yes to these questions listed, We Want To Talk To YOU!

  • Do you have a few hours a day, several days a week or month, to spend giving hugs and  drying tears?

  • And would you like to get paid to do it?

  • Do you have transportation to get around the Henry and Clayton county area?

  • Do you really enjoy being around young children and feel comfortable caring for them in a home environment?

  • Are you willing to take a criminal background check and get training in First Aid and CPR?

Southern Crescent Association for Profession Child Care (SCAPCC) is an organization of  family daycare primarily located within the South Metro Area of   Atlanta. SCAPCC is a support network for providers dedicated to providing quality childcare.

Most of our members are in the Riverdale, Stockbridge and Jonesboro areas, while some live in surrounding counties including Fayette, Rockdale and DeKalb.

Family daycare providers are registered by the State of Georgia’s  Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) Bright from The Start Program to care for up to six (6) children in our homes. All providers have passed DECAL  requirements to be in this business of caring for children.

Since most of us are open during regular business hours we do find it difficult to take care of personal errands away from home; like doctor or dental appointments.

THIS WHERE YOU COME IN!

Providers often need a caring, responsible adult to come into our homes for a few hours while we go to physician appointments or just to take care of other business that must be conducted during our regular business hours.

Since we are all independent business women, hours and days of operation, as well as ages and number of children in care, will vary. The rate of pay for your substitute services will be determined by you and the provider you choose to work with, SCAPCC does not set, specify, or regulate pay rate for this service.

NO OBLIGATION

You can, of course, decide when and where you want to work. You may call our President,  Takeisha Dixon, to get more details on our member pool  on this website. However, if you do decide to make a commitment and must cancel please give that provider at least 48-hour  notice.

Would you like to spend  a few hours a day or week providing    substitute childcare for registered childcare providers in the South Metro Area?  If this sounds like something you’d like to know more about, fill out coupon on the back of  our brochure and/or contact SCAPCC at 404-388-5796.

This might be an answer to your prayers!
