All in attendance received a lot of information on the various aspects of early childhood development and introduction of reading principles. Also, three ladies won great door prizes. Thanks to JUMC, Burrough & Associates, Chick-fl-a Organo Gold, Best Bank and Planning Committee members  for their efforts on making this a great event.

We ended the season at my home for some good  food and fellowship. Thanks to all that came and the children whom enjoyed the playroom. This may turn out to be an annual event. No pictures of the food, my fault, but we did have great spread and great conversations. Catered by David of CorporateQ and I supplied side dishes.  See you in August.

April 25, 2009 ~ Child Abuse Awareness
Maria Abercrombie, M.A. Ed is an Early Childhood Care and Education Instructor whom hails from
Chattahoochee Technical College/Paulding Campus and is a volunteer for Stewards of Children. This training was very eye opening and blunt to say the least. Which is how this issue/ concern should be taught. I can safely say that all were enlightened and changed for the better. We must all take our role as child advocates seriously, check out this site for more info www.georgiacenterforchildadvocacy.org/stewards.htm
